Our Story

As Muslimahs, we know all about women living the Bismaaa life with all the ease and difficulties.  After watching a few close family members and friends succumb to physical and mental illness due to what we would call, a dis-ease of the heart, we are on a mission to Heal, Teach and Inspire™ women to be kind and loving to their hearts. We started Bismaaa to create beautiful reminders for women to be kind to their hearts and also tools to help the healing process.  We're just starting out but we've already connected with tribes of women who are mutually working together to make this world a better place.
You may ask, "how can a dis-ease of the heart cause physical and mental illness"? The Prophet Muhammad, PBUH is reported to have said, Verily, in the body is a piece of flesh which, if sound, the entire body is sound, and if corrupt, the entire body is corrupt. Truly, it is the heart.  Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 52.  Allah SWT says in the Qur'an, but only he (will prosper) that brings to Allah a sound heart.  Quran 26:88-89.
The western world encourages us to neglect the heart in many ways.  We are over run by "brainiacs".  They do all of their thinking with their minds, rarely if ever consulting their hearts when they make decisions. Signs of this are all over: pollution, violence, sex trafficking, etc. It takes constant vigilance to care for our hearts. As women, we understand that after taking care of everything and everybody else, there's not much time, energy or spirit left to nurture ourselves.
Thinking and living with heart is what the Bismaaa life is all about. Living The Bismaaa Life is starting everything we do with Bismillah. Then we make an intention that our thoughts, words and deeds, are pleasing to Allah SWT. When we make intentions, we don’t forget to say Insha’allah and Subhanallah. We are thankful for our accomplishments in this life as we prepare for the hereafter, Masha’allah. Whether it turns our great or not, we know it is the will of Allah and we praise Him for everything, Al-Hamdulillah. We ask for forgiveness, forgive others and strive to be patient, Astaghfirullah. And, at the end of the day, we know in the deepest depths of our hearts that Allah is Greater, Allahu Albar.
With the love of Allah, we are connected Muslimah Sistertribes come together to strengthen and fortify our hearts. We are all daughters of the womb. Mothers are a gift from Allah, daughters are a treasure and the sisterhood is our bond.  Together we are #besties, #bestfriends, #companions to uplift, laugh, cry and help each other navigate, as we continue the journey to return to Allah with a sound heart.
